PRC vs Support Coordinator →

Recovery-oriented support, built around you.

A Psychosocial Recovery Coach is more than a support coordinator with a different label. We bring lived-experience-informed knowledge of mental health, recovery principles, and the NDIS, woven together. You decide the pace and the priorities. We bring the structure, the connections, and the steady presence.

A participant in a supportive conversation about their recovery journey

Psychosocial Recovery Coaching is for NDIS participants with mental health-related disability.

  • People with psychosocial disability resulting from mental health conditions
  • Participants who have a Psychosocial Recovery Coach line item in their NDIS plan
  • People recovering from periods of acute mental health crisis
  • Participants needing both NDIS coordination AND recovery-focused support together
  • People wanting a single coach rather than separate clinicians and coordinators

Five steps. At your pace.

Recovery is not linear. Our process gives you structure without forcing the timeline.

1

Get to know you

A relaxed conversation. Your story, your history, what you're hoping for. No pressure, no clinical interrogation.

2

Recovery plan

Together we shape a recovery plan that reflects what you want, not what a textbook says you should want.

3

Build your team

We bring in clinicians, peer workers, support workers and community services around your plan.

4

Walk alongside

Regular sessions, between-session check-ins, crisis support when needed, advocacy when something isn't right.

5

Build your independence

Over time, you take more of the lead. We adjust, step back, and stay available when you need us.

What's the difference between a Recovery Coach and a Support Coordinator?

A Recovery Coach combines NDIS coordination with recovery-oriented mental health support. A Support Coordinator focuses on coordinating NDIS services. Recovery Coaches typically work with people who have psychosocial disability and want one person handling both. We have a full comparison guide if you want the detail.

Do I need a mental health diagnosis to access Recovery Coaching?

You need a "psychosocial disability" recognised by the NDIS, which typically arises from a diagnosed mental health condition. The NDIA approves Recovery Coach funding based on the impact your psychosocial disability has on daily life, not the diagnosis itself.

How much does Recovery Coaching cost?

Nothing out of pocket if you have Recovery Coach funding in your NDIS plan. The 2025-26 weekday rate is $105.43/hr, billed directly to the NDIA.

Can I have a Recovery Coach AND a Support Coordinator?

Generally no. The NDIA funds one or the other because they overlap. A Recovery Coach is usually the right choice for people with psychosocial disability who want a single, mental-health-informed coach.

Do your coaches have lived experience of mental illness?

Our team includes coaches with lived experience and coaches with clinical or community-services backgrounds. We aim to match you with a coach whose approach fits your situation. You can ask for either, or both as part of your team.

Where do you provide Recovery Coaching?

We are a registered NDIS provider supporting participants across all of NSW. Sessions can happen at your home, in the community, or online depending on what works best for you and your wellbeing.
