Personal care is for participants who need a hand with the basics.
- Adults who need help with showering, dressing or grooming
- Participants whose needs have changed after an injury, illness or hospital stay
- People who want support that fits around work, study or family life
- Families who need reliable help so they can take a step back
- Anyone with Assistance with daily life funding for personal care in their plan
Five steps. At your pace.
We keep it simple, private and respectful from the very first conversation.
A free conversation
We listen to what you need, when you need it, and how you like things done.
Check your funding
We confirm the daily life funding in your plan and how you want to use it.
Your care plan
Together we write down your routines, preferences and anything important for your safety.
Meet your worker
We introduce a worker who suits you. You can ask for a particular gender or language where we can arrange it.
Review regularly
We check in and adjust your support whenever your needs change.
How the NDIS funds personal care
Personal care is usually paid from Assistance with daily life in your Core Supports budget, using the NDIS support items for assistance with self-care activities. Higher-intensity supports have their own support items and requirements.
Current price limits are in the NDIS Pricing Schedule. They are maximums, not fixed prices.
The way we work with you.
Prompt response
We get back to you as quickly as we can. Tell us if it is urgent and we will prioritise it.
Plain language
NDIS jargon explained, always. You will know what is happening and why.
Your goals first
What we do is tied to the goals in your plan, and we check in regularly on how it is going.
Safe and respectful
Screened, trained workers who follow the NDIS Code of Conduct and respect your privacy.
Your choice
You choose your providers. You can use us for this service and someone else for another.
One connected team
If you use more than one of our services, the people supporting you talk to each other.
Good questions, honest answers.
Can I choose who provides my personal care?
Yes. You can tell us your preferences, including a worker of a particular gender, and we will do our best to arrange it.
What if I only need help a few mornings a week?
That is fine. We build your support around the days and times you need.
Is personal care the same as nursing?
No. Personal care is help with daily tasks like showering and dressing. Nursing supports are delivered by nurses for disability-related health needs. We can talk about both.
How do you keep my care private and respectful?
Our workers are screened and trained, follow the NDIS Code of Conduct, and follow your care plan. Your privacy and dignity come first.
What happens if my usual worker is away?
We arrange a replacement who has been briefed on your care plan, and let you know in advance wherever we can.
Where do you provide personal care?
In your home, across Sydney and New South Wales.
Care that feels like respect.
Talk to us about the support you need, and how you would like it done.
